Watch Bryce Grow

How did Bryce get from this to this?

Some weeks still need to be
added so check back soon.

Wiggling, Jiggling, and Giggling...

So after a week of  getting up extra early each morning so she could, "Go to work with mommy," we decided that Amelia was ready for a little variety in her life.  Could she have said it any more clearly?  We checked out a few neighborhood activities - Tumble Tots, for a movement class, and Wiggle Jiggle, a nursery school, to see what was out there.  Both offered free trials so we signed Amelia up.  She loved going to school and so we enrolled her on a whim.  She now puts on a uniform and goes three times a week for two hour sessions.  She comes home singing new songs, talking about new friends and is learning some letter sounds.  (She is picking up letters like crazy when we read!  It's so amazing how language and learning develop so rapidly!)  Amelia is excited that they have Maisy books and that they sing and dance a lot.  She is brave during circle time and helps put things on the calendar.  She even got up and sang the ABCs for her classmates.  Our nanny goes with her while Bryce stays home and gets cuddles from the cook.  So far it is just what she needed.  We are happy that it is close and that she is getting to interact with some Indonesia children, although it is an English speaking environment.  There are only 4 children in her class and she is the only girl, but she doesn't mind this one bit.  She won't be able to start school where we work until the year after next because her birthday is after the cut-off, so this may be something we continue next year.  A little variety does everyone good:)

Bryce is full of smiles and giggles.  He is a calm and content little guy.  He is really starting to interact with Amelia.  He loves to touch her curly hair, giggle at her peek-a-boos, and crack up while she jumps on the trampoline.  Although he is only 5 months, he was showing readiness for food so we decided it was time.  How could you deny a little guy when he was whimpering every time we put fork to mouth and was trying to swipe food off our plates?  So yesterday we broke out the avocado and officially introduced solids.  After pushing it around a bit, he made contact and filled up his little mouth.  He must have enjoyed the taste because he smiled and burst into a fit of giggles.  I think we will have another food lover on our hands...thank you baby led weaning!

Morning cuddles in Thailand during our Christmas stay

Our little smiley boy...the weekly photo project continues...

Much to my delight, Amelia is beginning to discover the joys of dressing up!
Hooray for tutus, sunglasses and hats!

This little frog was hanging out right outside our dining room window.
He snoozed on the same leaf all day long, which made for some great shots.
