Jim's Exercise Class
From time to time I like to go out and exercise on the field just outside our house. It's a little smaller than a soccer field, has 2 trampolines and a playground, and the neighborhood children can be found playing there quite often. Recently when I went and started my routine, a bunch of the neighborhood kids joined in with me, including Amelia and Bryce. It was a lot of fun and also motivating to have them running along, doing push-ups, and getting their little hearts racing. A few even made it to the end. Shows how hard I work out. Take a look below:

Must write this one down...
A conversation from the other night as we were watching an episode of Dora where she and Boots were following an ice cream truck to "Coney Island," a place made up of upside down cones.
Jim: Aunt Sue in New York lives near a place called Coney Island, but there aren't actually cones there like there are in Dora.
Amelia: Oh, they have cups?
Now that is thinking! Love the way her little brain works. Funny enough she always prefers a cup over a cone - so I guess we'd better made a trip to Coney Island soon!

A Day at Taman Safari
Last Saturday we got out of the hustle and bustle of Jakarta and spent the day at Taman Safari park. It was wonderful to be in a different setting and enjoy an afternoon away. The driving safari is fantastic with a wide range of animals. Our first sighting was of the elephants and we were lucky enough to see a little baby having a swim with it's mother. As it got out of the water the pack started trumpeting to one another, which was just fantastic for all of us to watch and hear. We stayed and watched them for quite awhile. As we made our way through the various animal sites, we were greeted by several "grazers" who were happy to enjoy the carrots we had for them.
Amelia intently watches the elephants as they noisliy round up the little one.
A friendly camel stops by for a carrot.
Amelia feeding a camel - at a safe distance of course!
Look, it's a giraffe!
And the highlight was meeting baby Shirley an orangutan. Jim could have held her all day!
