Ice Towers with Daddy

Jim stumbled upon a great idea someone had posted on Facebook recently to make ice towers. We have had a lot of fun trying to break free all of the things we froze inside our towers. They even made a trip to the pool with us, which was much easier for clean-up! Take a look and try it today...

Look at how colorful it is!

It is ready!

Salt on my fingers, salt on my tongue!

Chipping away with salt, water, chop sticks and spoons...

Happy Valentine's Day

Sending you love from Jakarta on Valentine's Day...

This art project was made on the iPad, using Drawing Pad,
which was then put into PicCollage with text and photos.

Both are great Apps to use with children.

Who doesn't love a tea party?

Amelia knows how to throw a pretty grand tea party. She carefully sets everything up and welcomes her guests to enjoy some cake or pie along with their tea. She even warns you that the temperature might be, "A little hot, so you need to blow on it." I guess it is no surprise that our play tea parties have inspired an indoor breakfast picnic.

"Here Bryce, let's set the places."

"This one is for me because I like pink."

The scones are ready!

Hooray! Our first breakfast picnic!

Tears of a Clown

Recently Amelia came home from school with her face painted. This inspired Bryce to try to color his with Magic Marker. Here are photos from his 2nd attempt. He clearly shed a few tears after it was explained that marker might be bad for his eyes. He may have also been inspired by the upcoming Super Bowl.

Italy - One Clip a Day

What's New?

Lots of laughs and smiles coming your way in this post. Here are a few photos that highlight what we have been up to lately.

"Sit on Daddy's head" -
If only you could hear Jim's laughter!

Tired of holding your own sandwich? No problem!

Amelia's first day at JIS -
Posing for a photo in a friend's classroom before they
make their way to their new early childhood room.

Look who is a bus rider!
Bus departure happens right during mommy's lunch break, which is fantastic!

Snack time at school!

Bryce is all about sand these days.

Amelia is REALLY into layering. In this photo she has on a skirt, t-shirt, ballet leotard over top, and a cardigan sweater. Not to mention those fantastic orange socks and sparkly pink shoes.
