Amelia's Preschool Graduation

Amelia had such a lovely year in preschool. Her time at school has been rich, connected to nature and full of wonder. I am so thankful for the wonderful teachers who were there to nurture our blossoming little learner! Below are photos from her graduation celebration where they exhibited their work from their pond study. Enjoy!

Amelia's pond journal, where she recorded her research as she investigated how bugs connect to leaves before they turn into ladybugs. Ask her about it, she'd love to explain.

Notice Anything Different?

Saint George's Day (Belated Post)

May 6th was Saint George's Day, a day in which the army is honored. We happened to be downtown that morning and ran into this parade.

Mother's Day Getaway in Borovets (Belated Post)

For Mother's Day this year, Jim booked us an overnight in Borovets. Borovets is in the mountains and is very popular in the winter for skiing and hiking or biking in the summertime. It's about an hour drive from Sofia. We were one of two families in the hotel as spring is the low season. We had the pool to ourselves, which was understandable considering how cold the water was! (Now we know to look for mineral/thermal pools) But as always, this didn't stop our little swimmers from splashing and playing. We checked out the village nearby and enjoyed seeing the signs of spring. It was a wonderful overnight trip and we will definitely go back again soon!

I wonder when these two will be ready for this ski run?

This was part of a playground at a restaurant we lunched at.
I love how many great outdoor spaces there are for kids!

Swing us!

Make a wish...
